A Bi-National Logistics Hub

From our 18th century beginnings as a small trading community, to the opening of the Erie Canal, to emerging as a leader in power and industry, the Buffalo Niagara region historically flourished as a seat of international trade.

Today, the Buffalo Niagara region is fortunate to have a wide variety of industrial transport options along with the capacity to accommodate new business. Our best assets include:

  • Seven international ports of entry
  • Four Class I railroads including two intermodal container ramps
  •  Multimodal, same-day connections to the Port of New York/New Jersey
  • 110 daily flights from Buffalo Niagara International Airport
  • Three certified Foreign Trade Zones (two of the largest FTZ's in North America) and strong industrial real estate market
  • Lake freighter and barge service on Lake Erie, Lake Ontario and the Niagara River

In addition, the cross-border expertise of our customs brokerage, legal, accounting and other service industries helps remove business barriers, mitigate risk and create price leverage for companies that locate in Buffalo Niagara.
