Our Great Lakes waterfront – Lake Ontario and Lake Erie – make us a shipping and logistics hub. Buffalo Niagara provides a market that no other city in the U.S. or Canada can match. We're  home to eight international ports of entry (4 auto, 3 rail, 1 water), facilitating $81 billion in annual trade between Canada and the U.S. That's 15 percent of the total trade conducted between the world's two largest trading partners. We’re within one day’s travel reach of 41 percent of U.S. population (including eight million consumers in New York City; 59 percent of the Canadian population, including five and one half million consumers in the Greater Toronto Area; and over 65 percent of Canadian manufacturing firms.) We also have access to 5 interstates including the I-90, the longest interstate in the country, which runs between Boston and Seattle.

Logistics works in Buffalo Niagara! Logistics Today has named Buffalo one of its "Top Five Star Logistics Metros." Buffalo Niagara invests in its infrastructure, its transportation facilities, and in companies that want to do business here. A new intermodal hub opens in Buffalo on November 19, meaning increased capacity, improved technology and additional service lanes, all on top of an already developed rail infrastructure system.  The region is approximatly the mid-way point between major commercial centers New York City and Chicago, Toronto and Pittsburgh. Access to a reduced-rate hydropower allocation may be available, along with other funding that may be searched through our database.
