Forward thinking manufacturers  - automotive part producers and their suppliers; aerospace and defense; industrial chemicals, advanced plastics and new polymers; processing and packaging of food stuffs – are investing in their plants in Buffalo Niagara. Since 1995, nearly $500 million has gone into updating manufacturing facilities in our region, including $293 million by GM Powertrain to manufacture the "New World Engine;" Quebecor Printing’s investing $15 million to expand local operations; and $40 million invested by Motorola in their East Aurora plant.

Advanced Manufacturing works in Buffalo Niagara! Our long and honored history as an industrial center makes us a natural for companies integrating sophisticated technologies into Buffalo Niagara’s manufacturing facilities. Our schools graduate over 200 associates degrees, over 400 Bachelor degrees, and at least 300 Master+ degrees in engineering yearly. In many cases, funding for advanced manufacturing is available through such programs as our Empire State Development Manufacturing Assistance Program. This programs encourages manufacturers to invest in projects that will significantly increase the productivity and competitiveness of their operations. Shovel ready sites are available, and a property listing can be searched through our real estate database.
