David Griggs

Business Development Director

David Griggs currently serves as the Director of Business Development for Buffalo Niagara Enterprise.  In this position, his responsibilities include managing projects for businesses considering expanding in the Buffalo Niagara region, business attraction marketing and developing strategic business development opportunities for BNE.

David has been with BNE since 2003 and has worked up through the organization from Research Specialist.  In 2007 he assumed the position of Director and has continued the work and direction that the organization has initiated.  David has had a focus on the Canadian market since 2003 and has worked with numerous Canadian as well as US based clients. 

Under Griggs' leadership, the organization intends to maintain and grow its recently unveiled business attraction focused strategy. He assumes leadership of a very experienced business development team that will continue to provide guidance and expertise in the cluster industries and markets identified as having the most potential for growth. Those priority areas are life sciences, agribusiness, back office, and a market focus in Canada.

David’s work with the Western New York Commercial Association of Realtors has been instrumental in developing the regions first commercial listing system, the Buffalo Niagara Commercial Listing System. 

David has an undergraduate degree in Urban Planning and Regional Analysis from Buffalo State College and a Masters of Urban Planning from the State University of New York at Buffalo.  He has achieved the Economic Development Finance Professional (EDFP) designation from the National Development Council.

David resides in Wheatfield, NY with his wife Amy and daughter Madeline.
