BNE Honored with Four NYSEDC Awards
Buffalo Niagara Enterprise (BNE) was the winner of four 2006 Marketing Awards presented by the New York State Economic Development Council.
BNE was honored with a "Best of Class" Award for its Web site and for Canadian-based radio advertising campaign. BNE was also presented an Honorable Mention award for its Canadian print ad campaign and a Certificate of Excellence award for its 2004-2005 Annual Report.
The awards were presented on May 25 by the New York State Economic Development Council (NYSEDC) at the group's Annual Meeting at the Sagamore in Bolton Landing, NY.
The Web site (www.buffaloniagara.org) was developed by BNE in cooperation with Algonquin Studios of Buffalo, NY. The re-vamped site, designed to serve as a regional portal for anyone interested in doing business, living or visiting the Buffalo Niagara region, was launched in February 2006.
The Canadian radio campaign, consisting of four 30-second spots airing in the Metro Toronto market, targets Canadian companies interested in expansion into the United States. The same theme was used for the Print Ads, appearing in the Toronto Globe and Mail newspaper.
The 2004-2005 Annual Report, a 12-page, full-color report produced entirely in-house by BNE, outlined the organization's accomplishments through the sixth year of its existence.
