What is RSS?

RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication" or "Rich Site Summary". It is a format for distributing and gathering content from sources across the Web. An RSS file contains headlines, summaries and links that are formatted in XML so that they may be read by a program called an RSS Aggregator (sometimes called an RSS Reader).

How do I set up a news aggregator?

You can find news aggregators by going to and searching for "rss reader". Choose and install one of the options available there. Once installed, follow the software's instructions on how to add an RSS feed. Finally, copy and paste the above URL.

You can also use an online news aggregator, such as those provided by, where you have the ability to customize your RSS feeds.
