(PRWEB) December 13, 2011
Web-based health and wellness certification programs are now available to employers, individuals and distributors through the BWI National Health Promotion Training Institute. For a limited time, they may be accessed at half off through a Cyber Sale. Housed at the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus in Buffalo, N.Y., the training institute offers educational programs to employers who want a wellness program with a positive ROI; to brokers, educational institutions and associations who want to differentiate themselves, attract and retain customers, and generate a new revenue stream; and to those interested in enhancing their knowledge in the health promotion field. The following courses are available:
“We’ve launched the BWI National Health Promotion Training Institute with innovative online certifications that make the implementation of workplace and school wellness programs cost-effective and convenient,” said Shawna Dosser, CEO and president of BWI Health Promotions, of which the training institute is a subsidiary. BWI is designated as a women-owned small business (WOSB) provider by the federal government and registered as a Federal Contractor. The outcome-based programs are aligned with national standards and performance metrics that are documented to create behavior change. “Companies are requiring health education as a component for incentive-based programs by using health coaching, dietetic counseling, and lunch and learn seminars to influence healthier behaviors and lifestyle change,” Dosser said. “BWI’s Personal Health Certification online training is a one-of-a-kind program that measures knowledge improvement, which directly correlates with behavior change. It conveys the same messages of a one-on-one approach but is significantly less expensive, especially with the Cyber Sale.” Employers or individuals may access the programs directly from BWI. There also is an opportunity for brokers, educational institutions and associations to advance their strategic direction – whether it is differentiating themselves in the marketplace, acquiring and retaining clients, or generating revenue – by partnering to distribute the courses. Trocaire College of Buffalo and the New York State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (APHERD) are BWI’s first affiliates. Both have access to all three certification courses, which feature pre- and post-tests as well as a learning management system to help access data of employee knowledge improvement. Continuing education units have been approved by IACET, NYS-PT, National OT Board and BOC through Learning Partners, as well as the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI). In addition to the online portal, affiliates may arrange for programs to be delivered through an onsite classroom setting. To purchase a program at 50% off, email traininginstitute@bwihp.com with the code CYBERSALEPRWEBBWI011312 by Jan. 13, 2012, midnight EST.
