Applied Sciences Granted $516K for App

The app will allow VA field agents to securely collect health and quality of life information on homeless veterans.

Currently, agents use paper forms and re-enter data when they return to their offices.

Applied Sciences already began work on the app, which is not being developed for the iPad. It should be completed by February, 2012.

The app will be deployed in Los Angeles, Washington D.C., Watertown, N.Y. and either Falling Waters, W.Va. or Austin, Texas, before being rolled out nationwide.
