Galleria Signs Seven Tenants

The Walden Galleria has signed seven new tenants, including retailers that will be making their local debuts at the Cheektowaga shopping center.
Sources have said that:
• Free People, a Philadelphia-based retailer that specializes in upscale clothing and other items for women, has agreed to lease 2,000 square feet in the mall. Free People is slated to open later this year. The store will be its first in upstate New York,
• Arden B has agreed to open a 4,000-square-foot store that will serve as a companion to its retailing cousin, Wet Seal Wet Seal Latest from The Business Journals Best in Real Estate: The Shoppes at Arbor LakesNew app rewards customers for shoppingRetailer Wet Seal sees stronger sales Follow this company . Both are opening at the end of this month in the mall's expanded lower level. Wet Seal is already a Walden Galleria tenant. Both sell trendy women's clothing and other items.
• Michael Kors, another upscale women's retailer, is opening a 2,000-square-foot store later this month. The store will be its first in the immediate area.
• A national restaurant chain, Gordon Biersch, which has a brew pub-like theme, is slated to open an 8,000-square-foot outlet in October. Gordon Biersch will be located between Bar Louie and Hyde Park Steakhouse.
• Quick Fire Grill offers hamburgers, hot dogs and similar-type foods.
• Also coming to the food court is Pomegranate, a Persian-style restaurant. Pomegranate already has a location on Transit Road in Amherst.
• White House/Black Market, another upscale women's retailer, will be opening its second location in the Walden Galleria. White House/Black Market is leasing 3,000 square feet in the mall. The Fort Myers, Fla.-based chain has a location in Orchard Park.
With the deals, the 1.5 million-square-foot Walden Galleria is more than 90 percent leased.
