Travelers entering Fort Erie, Ont., and Buffalo via the Peace Bridge will see the results of the 11th annual “Bridge in Bloom” initiative.
The binational landscaping effort has plantings highlighted on the bridge along with spots along Busti Avenue and Front Park in Buffalo and Queen Street and Veteran’s Way near the Mather Arch in Fort Erie.
The plantings were handled by Mill Greenhouses & Garden Center of Port Colborne and Eden’s Amos Zittel & Sons Nursery.
Plantings include begonias, marigolds, potato vine, sunflowers and tulips, among others.
“Sprucing up the bridge grounds is simply another demonstration of our commitment to operating a world-class border crossing,” said Anthony Annunziata, Buffalo and Fort Erie Public Bridge Authority chairman.
