Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters President & CEO to address Customs and Border Protection 2011 Trade Symposium
Published by Derek Lothian on March 11, 2011
Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters (CME) President & CEO Jayson Myers has accepted an invitation to address the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) 2011 Trade Symposium, April 13, in Washington.
Myers will be joined by CBP Commissioner Alan Bersin and Frank Sanchez, Under Secretary of Commerce, International Trade Division.
“I am very pleased to accept this invitation to join Commissioner Bersin, especially in light of the border declaration announced by Prime Minister Harper and President Obama a few short weeks ago,” says Myers.
“Border issues remain a top priority for CME members and I am eager to share our thoughts and policy recommendations in both Washington and Ottawa.”
The theme for this year’s symposium is “Working Together to Strengthen Economic Competitiveness.”
