Executive AirShare comes to Buffalo

Executive AirShare has selected Buffalo as the first site for its expanded service in the Great Lakes/Mid-Atlantic market.

Kansas City-based Executive AirShare offers private, regional fractional aircraft ownership opportunities. The firm has leased 27,000-square-feet of hangar space and 4,400-square-foot of office space from the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport. The hangar and office space are located along Cayuga Drive.

The Buffalo operation, run by David Jones, a licensed pilot, will handle Executive AirShare's new service routes throughout the Great Lakes and Mid-Atlantic states. Buffalo will be served, initially, by a Beechcraft King Air 350. Service is underway.

"We see enormous opportunity to serve business and leisure users of corporate aircraft throughout mid-state New York and Southern Ontario from Buffalo," said Robert Taylor, Executive AirShare chairman and CEO.

Executive AirShare shareholders fly in their own aircraft the majority of the time, Taylor said.

Aircraft are available on a per-day basis that ensures service that closely replicates full ownership, but at a fraction of the cost and without management responsibilities, Taylor said.

"Because our aircraft stay with their owners on intraday missions, we eliminate the costs associated with 'deadheading', and our owners are never stranded due to scheduling problems or weather conditions," said Keith Plumb, Executive AirShare president and COO.

Executive AirShare has operations in Kansas City, Wichita, Tulsa, Oklahoma City, Fort Worth and Dallas.
