Roswell Park launching $40M expansion

Roswell Park Cancer Institute is planning a new $40 million cancer center at the northeast corner of its campus.

The new Clinical Sciences Center building would likely be eight floors with 120,000 square feet of ambulatory patient space, offices and facilities space for patient consultation, counseling and education. The Board approved the plan in December.

The project has been in the works for nearly two years. Dr. Donald Trump, president and CEO, says it will link Roswell’s existing ambulatory care center with its Grace Cancer Drug Center, giving physician scientists improved access to both patients and laboratory work.

“We anticipate expanding our infusion center and expanding our capabilities in breast cancer,” along with expanding a screening center, patient education and survivorship programs – all of the things that patients and their families need in addition to surgical facilities, he says.
