RPCI now servicing Northwest Pa.

Roswell Park Cancer Institute began a new partnership this week serving cancer patients from Pennsylvania.

The agreement between Roswell Park and the Meadville Medical Center, which began Jan. 1, provides cancer research, education and prevention services to patients in Meadville and Northwest Pennsylvania.

The affiliation provides opportunities for both markets: Meadville’s medical staff of 100-plus includes 37 medical/surgical specialists and an extensive primary care foundation.

The partnerships brings to 10 the number of institutions partnering with Roswell Park, including sites in Jamestown, Olean and Bradford, Pa., and international organizations in China, Jordan and Puerto Rico.
