For sale: NCAA Men's Hoops Tix

 Looking for tickets to NCAA men’s regional basketball finals, set for HSBC Arena?

They are available.

Despite the popular belief that the games, set for Friday, March 19 and Sunday, March 21 at the downtown Buffalo arena, are sold out, the reality is approximately 1,500 seats remain for sale. The ticket packages cost $219 and cover three sessions, spread over two days.

All of the seats are in the arena’s 300 level, said John Sinclair, Buffalo Sabres director of ticket operations and services.

Buffalo is not alone. Other early round NCAA venues are reporting various amounts of unsold tickets.

“The economy is part of the reason,” Sinclair said. “But, we are also battling the fact that everyone thinks the games are sold out when they are not.”

Tickets can be obtained through the NCAA web site, ncaa.com/mbbtickets.

This year marks the fourth time in the past decade the men’s regional basketball finals have been played at HSBC Arena. In past years, high-profile teams such as Duke, Connecticut and Indiana have played at the arena.
