Renewable-energy and high tech companies considering investment in our region will have more options to consider with the announcement of significant funding secured by two of our investor and economic development partner agencies.

The Niagara County Center for Economic Development has been awarded $300,000 from National Grid to bring two large parcels in the Towns of Cambria and Pendleton to shovel ready status. Each town will provide matching funds for the water and sewer infrastructure improvements.

Meanwhile the Genesee County Economic Development Center announced that they are the recipients of $1 million in Upstate Regional Blueprint Funds from Empire State Development Corporation to support infrastructure work at the Buffalo East Technology Park near the intersection of Routes 5 and 77 in the Town of Pembroke.

These funding initiatives are great news and will go along way towards bringing more available product on line for BNE and our partners in both counties to market to targeted industries and companies.
