Columbus McKinnon Overseas Change
Thursday, January 21, 2010
Columbus McKinnon Corp. has announced a leadership change at its European operations with the retirement of Wolfgang Wegener.
Wegener, who has overseen the Amherst-based manufacturer’s European presence for the past 25 years, will leave the company later this year.
Timothy Tevens, president and CEO of Columbus McKinnon, credited Wegener an instrumental part of the success the company has had in growing Eastern and Western Europe, the Middle East and Africa as well as adding manufacturing capabilities in China in the early 1990s.
He will be succeeded by Dr. Ivo Celi, who joins Columbus McKinnon from Hilti AG, a manufacturer of power tools for the professional construction and building maintenance markets.
