Home > About BNE > Press Room > 2009 Archive > May > Local Access to Global Markets Local Access to Global MarketsTo help our regional manufacturers, the World Trade Center Buffalo Niagara is offering Local Access to Global Markets, a limited funding program to help you take advantage of opportunities to enter new international markets, or to increase sales in your current international markets.
World Trade Center Buffalo Niagara has secured 50% matching funding to help seven manufacturing companies increase export sales. The program works when you make an investment to use the international trade services of World Trade Center Buffalo Niagara; a portion of your investment is then matched by grant dollars available from New York State. Current WTCBN members receive a discounted rate. With limited funding available, the grants are offered on a first-come first-served basis.
Previous WTCBN clients have used Local Access to Global Markets funding to perform the following market entry projects:
Market Entry Research
• WTCBN performed market research & analysis to determine product suitability for Latin America
Sales in New Markets
• WTCBN identified, assessed and qualified distributors to increase sales in Mexico
• WTCBN searched for and identified a bonded warehouse to increase sales to China
• WTCBN evaluated distribution channels in Europe
Regulatory Requirements
• WTCBN outlined U.S. export requirements and conducted staff training on U.S. Export Control procedures.
