Bridge condition reports to be updated on Twitter
The Niagara Falls Bridge Commission announced Wednesday that it will release reports on traffic delays at two international bridges via the free Internet service Twitter.com.
For the Rainbow Bridge in Niagara Falls and the Lewiston-Queenston Bridge in Lewiston, anyone who subscribes to Twitter.com/NiagaraBridges will be alerted to which bridge has the shortest crossing times when delays are reported.
Updates will be made every 30 minutes to one hour when there are delays, officials said in a news release.
The toll-free phone number that provides information on traffic conditions on each local bridge, including the Peace Bridge, will still operate. That number is (800) 715-6722.
Bridge conditions and live photos are also available at http://niagarafallsbridges. com.
The commission operates three international bridges in Niagara County. The third is the Whirlpool Bridge in Niagara Falls, available only to NEXUS card holders.
Peace Bridge traffic conditions can also be found at http://mobile. peace-bridge. com.
