A statewide campaign focused on research, development and commercialization opportunities for New York State's bioscience community
NY Loves Bio Comes to Life at the
2007 Bio International Convention
Pavilion features assets from across New York State
Thirteen New York State companies joined four universities and research institutions along with ten economic developers at the world's largest 3-day event showcasing the life sciences industry. The NY Loves Bio Pavilion, situated in the center of the Massachusetts Convention Center in Boston, MA, showed off some of New York State's greatest assets and best-kept secrets to the 22,000+ attendees at the Convention that took place from May 7 through the 9th, 2007.
The Bio Exhibition featured the largest gathering of biotech exhibitors in history, with more than 1,900 companies and 60 domestic, country and regional pavilions representing every aspect of the biotechnology industry. But this premier event was more than just an exposition, featuring keynote presentations from entertainer Michael J. Fox, who spoke on drug discovery and development innovation, and Queen Noor of Jordon, who discussed the opportunities presented by biotechnology to address global health and poverty issues. Some attendees also caught a glimpse of U2's Bono on the first day of the Convention.
