Annual Report 2009-2010

Initiated with accurate and reliable research, supported with a persuasive message and driven by an aggressive, one-on-one approach, BNE achieved 9 successful project wins this year. Reflecting the diversity of our regional economy, these project wins were in five different targeted industry clusters and represented $11.8 million in investment in our community. Equally important to our mission are the 1,501 jobs that were retained through our efforts and commitment to create an additional 578 new jobs. The positive employment impact of over 2,000 jobs is very significant in our community.

BNE’s rapidly increasing number of prospects and record activity levels, the strength and uniqueness of our regional assets and the signs of economic recovery, all point to our region being well positioned to successfully compete for business investment opportunities that will enhance our local economy.
